Redd's is my favorite spot to be in Newark, the staff is attentive and talented at what they do, the food is out of this world, if you've never tried their black and blue burger you are not living life to it's full potential. I come back to Redd's every chance I get, it's a home away from home

We stopped here before going to the Prudential Center to see Bill Burr and Andrew Dice Clay! The placed was packed and loud, but not rowdy! Everyone was having a good time while enjoying their drinks and food. Typical German food, which had a good taste; I think I would visit again and try their burger.
Excellent food and service. Jose was so welcoming and helpful. Wanted schnitzels so we decided to try this biergarten. Bier Bacon was so good. The slaw was delicious and enhanced the bacon... I don't usually like slaw but I would definitely love to have more of their slaw. 😀 Jaeger Schnitzel was perfect, it was crispy even after the mushroom demi glaze was spread on top. Spaetzle was really good, most times it's just a mushy mass but these were individual pieces 👍 Dee’s Kassler Ripchen - Smoked Pork Chop with potato Pancake and red cabbage. The pork chop was really good. The red cabbage was delicious loved it! Hubby loved the potato pancakes but I thought they were more like Hash brown then the usual potato pancake... Will have to go back to try other items! I'm just sad the one closer to us near the Meadowlands does not have a German menu...
I am an immigrant from Germany and loved the food & beer selection. I used to live in Newark before moving to Wisconsin in 2012 and came back to visit. I was so happy to see this place and had a great time. Great authentic food! Thanks for a great experience!
This is the best restaurant experience I have ever had in the city on Newark. The staff are amazing. It's like a fine well oiled machine. They always aim to please. What a dining experience!!!
I want expecting much from this place honestly, looked like your basic sports bar. Service was very friendly but it was really loud. If you are looking for a quiet place to chat, might not be the best option. But wow, the food was SO good! Honestly probably the best bar food I've had in a long time. And I thought the prices were pretty reasonable for the portion sizes. We had the potato pancakes, which were nice and hot and savory. My weiner schnitzel was crispy and the veggies with it were cooked perfectly and well seasoned. The spatzle was absolutely delicious. My husband had one of the sausage meals and really enjoyed it, especially the sauerkraut which was made in house. He also loved all the NJ Devils stuff around. Would recommend for a bite before or after a game or show at NJ PAC which is a quick 10-15 minute walk away up the street.
Very nice and generally calm place to go and hang out with any type of group. I love coming back to this place every once in a while. Heavy inspiration from Bavarian culture. Great for social gathering and watching games. The Beer and Pretzel was nice and the prices were not too bad. The people were also very friendly and helpful in making the right decisions.
Great place to hang out before a concert. This place can get busy. I've seen people meet up after work to preshow gatherings. They have a great beer selection with two bars on opposite sides. Last time I came by the bartender was cool. I usually get something small like Kartoffelpuffer. I remember not expecting much but the presentation was very fair. And from the pictures of others I should come earlier to try their other foods. Also anyone driving in, I recommend using spothero to find parking.
A must experience before a game (or other event) like no other. Redd’s serves up giant cold beers and some delicious food as well. It gets super packed for games, so arrive early and get yourself a spot. Right across from the entrance, so it’s a quick jump over to pick drop.
